How much are the incentives worth?
The Program pays the incentive directly to the installer (Service Provider). The Service Provider must credit the Customer with the value of the incentive on the final invoice to the Customer. See the Program Guide for Service Providers for a detailed explanation of the incentive calculations.
Residential Existing Construction:
Incentive = $407 + ($0.67 x kWh saved x Surface Orientation Factor)
Residential New Construction: Incentive = $379 + ($0.62 x kWh saved x Surface Orientation Factor)
Commercial Existing Construction: Incentive = ($547.71 x kW saved) + ($0.38 x kWh saved x Surface Orientation Factor)
Commercial New Construction: Incentive = ($511.20 x kW saved) + ($0.35 x kWh saved x Surface Orientation Factor)
Six low-income residential incentives are available at 95 percent of system installed costs, with a maximum incentive of $3,800.
How do I participate and how long does the process take? Service Providers must complete and submit application materials, available on the 1. Submit Service Provider Participation Agreement, W-9, and Certifications of Insurance to the Program.
2. The Program will approve you as a participating Service Provider.
3. Submit projects to the Program. The Program will review (up to 3 days for OG-300 systems; up to 2 weeks for other systems).
4. Once the Program approves the project for an incentive reservation, installation can begin. (Installation must be completed up to 45 days after pre-approval for single-family existing homes. The project completion deadline for other property types is negotiated.)
5. Once the project is complete, submit the project completion materials to the Program. The Program will conduct an onsite inspection of the project (up to 2 weeks for OG-300 systems; up to 3 weeks for other systems).
6. After the Program has approved the project, payment will be issued (2-4 weeks after notification of the Program's final approval).
The Program has a fixed budget each year, so apply early to increase the likelihood that your project(s) will be funded. All Program terms and conditions, requirements, and materials are subject to change at any time.
